Capriccio Ensemble Happy Spring!

Hi

We are new here and just started to BLOG!

We've had a busy spring and are looking forward to the great live events we have on our schedule at the end of May and to all of the beautiful weddings we are to perform at in
June.

Of note:
Rachel's wedding on June 6th at The Foundry of LIC where we shall perform "Never Tear us Apart" for her entrance. It's a cool song we're learning by the INXS. It does have a great sound as a violin solo and there will be the accompaniment of 3 other strings as in a full string quartet. ..looking forward to this one! The Recessional music will be "You Shook Me" by AC/DC. :)

Lucy's wedding on June 27th at Harvest on Hudson. Our String Trio will add a bit of theater and "sweetening" to "I've Got You Babe" her first dance song!

More to come.....

  1. Today I write about a beautiful and very romantic wedding couple and ceremony at which we had the privilege to perform with our String Trio of 1 violin, 1 viola and 1 cello. This much anticipated wedding ceremony occurred on Saturday May 23rd 2009 at Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst NY which is right at the beach/on the ocean.
The bride, Melissa was an absolutely stunning bride. She was so beautiful that when I first saw her I thought that she could be on the cover of "Cosmopolitan" or "Vogue" as a featured bride. When I first saw the groom, Benjamin, who is tall and very sold in appearance I thought that he is the perfect guy for her and this was confirmed throughout the ceremony as he had a very caring loving vibe centere all around him and they made an exquiste couple, truly!

Chateau La Mer is beautiful and breezy at this sea side and lovely location!
The staff is welcoming, polite and very helpful.

The Pastor, April from "The Church of Ancient Ways" arrived early to sound check her very own mic and small speaker which sounded perfect. I was so impressed with her total professionalism as well as by her helpfulness and very nice smile!

It was a bit chilly on the waterfront and the guests were not escorted out to the ceremony until closer to the time the ceremony was to commence. As they entered we performed 1 classical selection by Le Claire, as well as the requests of the bride such as a soft Beatles song (as she had said that her father just loved the Beatles), "Hey Jude". We began performing her request for "Your Song" and about 1/2 way through the song the Maitre d' let us know that the Bridal party and family (And most importantly) the Bride were ready for the Processionals to begin.
The Gentleman/Maitre d' who ran the ceremony was a doll. He ran the Processionals so well. He told me that he would not rush the string trio in between the requested selections as there were 3 Processionals requested. As the wind was heavy and blowing our sheet music about even with it tucked into heavy plastic sleeves and all set in our music books, this meant alot to all 3 of us. I actually said it was OK that he only needed a slight pause for the change to the Bride's special music however no pause was needed in bettwen the 1st and 2nd Processionals. There were 3 Processionals requested and performed.
The first Processional which we performed on cue by the Maitre d' was
"Here, There and Everywhere" by the Beatles. This selection was the music for the Entrance of 3 sets of Grandparents, the Groom and his Mother and the entrance of the Groom's Step father escorted by 2 Groomsmen.

The 2nd Processional for 5 Bridesmaids was a more traditional as well as classical selection, "Canon in D" by Pachelbel.

For the 3rd Processional/Entrance of the Bride we performed a very beautiful and moving traditional Jewish bridal selection, "Erev Shel Shoshanim".

When the bride and groom were announced for the very first time as "Mr and Mrs Benjamin Ercoli" we performed the chosen Recessional which was "Ode to Joy" by Beethoven going right into "All You Need is Love" for the Recessional of the couple followed immediately by "Clocks" by Cold Play and closing with "When I'm 64" by the Beatles for a fun as well as an upbeat ending!

While the String Trio packed up the Bride and Groom came outside with their photographer and they looked so happy and just stunning and beautiful together. I congratulated them both and they thanked us for our beautiful music.

We wish this lovely and totally beautiful couple all of the very best always!

  2. Coming soon, this Saturday, May 30th is a ceremony for a lovely person named Tina and her wedding will take place outdoors in a gazebo on the grounds of Chateau Hathorn which is located in Warwick NY about 10 miles west of Harriman/Woodbury Commons..shopping galore!

I will perform at the ceremony as a Solo Violinist. It appears to be a nice dry, pretty day and Tina will be a gorgeous bride I am sure!

I look forward also to travelling to the wedding with my hubby who (if time) I may take to do a bit of fishing (his passion) a bit further out western NY in that area on the Delaware River near Pt. Jervis.
Afterwards we will take 2 days to go upstate and visit family.

More events and beautiful weddings to post....coming soon!
    Have a great weekend!
